Welcome

At our place we love food that is healthy, delicious and doesn’t break the budget. I am an enthusiastic foodie who  loves cooking.

Having  a small herb and vegetable garden is great.  We also have our own (small) lemon, peach, plum and tamarillo trees.

I have  many other claims on my time so I always go for recipes that are fuss-free and give lots of effect for very little effort.

Any recipes on my blog that I create,  (or pass on from my favourite  cooks) will tick all these boxes.

This recipe is by Annabel Langbein and is on her new show “Simple Pleasures” .

4 large floury potatoes grated (with all the liquid squeezed out, using a clean tea towel), 1 tsp salt, 3 tbsp olive oil, parsley if you want.

Mix ingredients in a bowl and then divide into six portions and flatten down on a lined oven tray and bake at 190 degrees for 35 minutes. These were so easy and looked fantastic. You can just forget about them and get on with something else while they are cooking. T

They are fabulous as they are but next time I might add some crumbled feta and some coriander.
